First, though it's been up since July 9th, I finally have a moment to say that The Summer 2009 Issue of Goblin Fruit is live! Peruse poems by Mary Alexandra Agner, Karen Berry, neile (Neile Graham), alankria (Alex Dally MacFarlane), shweta_narayan, Gale Acuff, csecooney, hooks_and_books (Joshua Gage), Thomas Zimmerman, Alexis Vergalla, Anna Renz, Jane Yolen, Patricia Roy, handful_ofdust (Gemma Files), asakiyume (Francesca Forrest), Delbert Gardner and Anna Sykora. We also have a Feature focusing on Nicole Kornher-Stace (wirewalking), our very own changeling-rearing, mead-brewing, brownie-baking, corset-wearing crossroad-hauntress extraordinaire.

I began my morning being completely bowled over by seajules' amazingly thorough and insightful review of the Summer Issue. I always melt a little when anyone comments on what Jess and I try to do as editors; she's pretty much got it in one. Thank you so much, Jules.

Readercon reports ARE coming, honest, for real and for true, and with pictures, even, but having mer_moon actually HERE with me makes me rather reluctant to talk about the awesomeness we shared among friends-who-feel-like-family, since it would take away from the time we actually get to spend together. Even now she's waiting for me with sevenravens downstairs, and we are to have sushi! So I shall make this brief.

IN brief: remember this?

It is now available for purchase online! For the low low price of $7 USD, which includes international shipping. There is signed stock while supplies last -- we couldn't QUITE wrangle poor Nicole's wrist into signing them all at Readercon, but she made a valiant effort.

Only 100 were printed for sale, and only 50 are currently available via PayPal, so make sure to get yours swiftly. Look at our barrow-lad. He'll tell you true.

I'm giving my last contributor's copy to Katie, and now I need one for my mom and for myself... I don't suppose you'll hold two off... Do I buy them from Amazon, or what? Or the Goblin Fruit store???

::sneaks up on the book, like the tide gently rising until you don't notice it's no longer at your ankles, but at your neck::

::snatches away like particularly beautiful piece of scrimshaw and drags into Undertow::

Mine.

Ordered a copy!

(still hoping for chapbooks of the Goblinfruit issues. It's always lovely to have a physical entity sitting on the shelf inviting you to flick through at any time!)

I absolutely can't wait to get this though feel sort of bad because it's so cheap for me to buy, even though I'm in the UK... If you have a donate button or some way of paying more (?) let me know and I'll happily pay extra.

Cheers,
Karen
